“I believe life is constantly testing us for our level of commitment,
and life's greatest rewards are reserved for those who demonstrate
a never-ending commitment to act until they achieve. This level of
resolve can move mountains, but it must be constant and consistent.
As simplistic as this may sound, it is still the common denominator
separating those who live their dreams from those who live in regret.”

Christmas is coming
Don't Stop! It Is Not Over Yet!
"Merry Christmas!" As soon as you hear those words something interesting
happens in our brains...we think the year is over! When December arrives
people typically change their focus from pursuing their business goals
to pursuing their holiday plans.
Studies show that most people slow their work in December because they
believe once you hit the last month of the year, the year is over and
done - no more real business can be accomplished! WRONG!
A major percentage your income can be earnt in December, it is not time
to slow down, but rather a time to finish strong! For me this December
is a busy month, whilst waiting for my book to come back from my proof
reading friend I’m busy building my list and learning how to use the
piece of software that will turn my book into an ebook, plus all the
family things we all have to do and would rather not do.
I know December is an interesting month. We have time off to celebrate
Christmas, with friends and family, however, it is not the time to stop
thinking and working on your success! I’m encouraging you to pull out
your goal list for 2011 and read your goals again, I hope you all have
a goal list if not it time to put pen to paper and start your goal list
NOW.
I want you to review your goals (again); look at what you've achieved;
and what you have yet to accomplish. Then take each individual remaining
goal and ask yourself what three (3) things can you do to move closer
to the goal in the next few weeks. Next, I want you to decide on a
reward or incentive to push you to hit those goals. Then go to work!
Push forward and make the rest of this year the best of the year!
So don't stop now because the year is not over!
So friends, go the extra mile now, then you can enjoy your Christmas
and your Holidays with a bigger smile on your face.

Just when I was feeling Blue
Just wanted to share this email with you.
I was feeling a bit down with myself this morning and this is what
I found in my inbox, an email from a good friend of mine in Spain,
Hi Rosie
We were thinking of you and your book, how's things going back in the UK?
She is you.....
She can deal with stress and carry heavy burdens.
She smiles when she feels like screaming, and she sings when
she feels like crying.
She cries when she's happy and laughs when she's afraid..
Her love is unconditional.
There's only one thing wrong with her. She forgets what she's worth!
I love you girl
L-o-v-e-y-o-u.
Let's make today a 'love u day' Dotty xx

Stuff Happens… Now What Are You Going To Do About It? Part 2
Well this morning I’ve received bad news from my friend Bob Mouncer.
Bob called me from London to say his friend has passed away they were
friends for over 48 years so it as hit him hard.
As you can see I’m running late Mid-November as gone and I’ve decided
that our website will have to go online now before the book is ready.
I’ve had to refocus as it was nearly ready and I’ll tweak it as we go
along, I’m still getting to grips with the software for the book, yes
Stuff Happens.
Ok what now, it’s time to refocus yet again, looking at my list there’s
lots to do. Going to start to look for place to sell my book, any
suggestions great fully received please leave a comment on my blog.
Our auto responder is up and running and when you sign up for our Tips,
Advice and much more newsletter we be giving you Suzanne Morrison
10 Free SEO Tools. Suzanne’s book was a great help to me whilst I’ve been
building our website, and there are links to other FREE stuff that will
help you build your website.
I’m setting a new launch date for my book, as I said in my last post
nothing is set in concrete.
On a brighter note the sun is shining, I’m going to take a couple of hours
off and go with my husband James to take the dogs for a walk and maybe do
a bit of Christmas shopping, then it will be back to work, it as become a
labour of love, which is a good job really it as taken a long time to
fulfil my dream I’m now 90% of the way there and by Christmas it will be 99%
the last 1% is for my book to become a success.

Stuff Happens… Now What Are You Going To Do About It?
Ok I’m focused and know where I’m going and now I’ve received an email
telling me that my friend Bob Mouncer has been called away to London as
a friend of his is seriously ill. Bob is proof reading my book, my dead
line for getting my book back was Mid-November. My first instinct was to
panic, my second was, there’s nothing that can be done about it, I’ll just
have to deal with it after all nothings set in concrete and the date for
the launch can be moved.
I’ve slept on it and have decided to start reproof reading, this means
learning the ebook software will have to wait. Stuff Happens.
What do you do when you’ve made up your mind to move forward on your
dreams, you start on your goals, and then calamity strikes? You have
to decide to keep your eyes on the prize and not on the problems.
Problems will come, in fact, they must come. That’s how we grow, however,
we must decide whether we will go through the problems or grow through
the problems. That decision will determine our actions. And our actions
will determine our results.
So when life gets in the way as it sometimes does and it knocks you down
and tries to knock you out, Just pick yourself up, Dust yourself down, and
now get moving again in the direction of your goals.
Fellow entrepreneur, we all have challenges on our journey towards our goal
for greater success, but please do not stop. Don’t give up. No matter what
don’t let anything wreck your success. Focus on the prize of achieving the
goal rather than the pain of the problem. In time, you will see your prizes
grow and your problems shrink. Most of all, you will grow yourself and
achieve success.
By the way I’ve had a second email from Bob, telling me he’d taken my
book with him to London and that he thinks we can still achieve by
mid-November deadline what a gem. Oh dear that means I’m back to
getting to grips with the ebook software which is another challenge.
Albert Einstein once defined insanity as doing the same thing over and
over again and expecting different results.

Coming back from Spain
My Journey so far
We moved from the UK were we were business advisers with staff, to living in Spain semi retired and no staff. Land, fruit and nut trees, olives, hens however no mains electric and water from our own well we looked forward to living the good life. However it was not to last my other half became ill, the pound was devalued and we had to return to the UK.
Whist in Spain I’d toyed with the idea of working online however poor internet connection and electricity from a generator made it near on impossible. The idea of writing a book was next on the agenda to be investigated, whilst working as business adviser for many years the information and knowledge that we had gained was immense.
When we moved to Spain we took boxes of books and material from courses we had designed and run, our study was full of what my husband called stuff. Because I’m a collector of stuff it was easy to start the book, we spent hours going through the material we had used with our clients over the years and the book began to take shape.
My husband’s illness and the move back to the UK meant the book was put on hold for a full year, then in February this year we decided that it was time to take on the challenge and restart the book.
What a challenge it as turned out to be, a change in Government as meant everything that had been done had to be double checked, website, funding, contacts, advisers lots of changes and even when my book is finished there could still be more changes looming.
My first job was to decide on the headings for the chapters the content I already had, however as most was written for clients on a one to one basis and some was written for seminars it had to be rewritten for a new audience.
Proof reading is a nightmare and at the moment it is in it’s fourth draft my husband is working on my spelling and grammar and I’m busy rewriting like mad.
Now my good friend Bob Mouncer is going to do the final proof reading for me, and because proof reading is what he does I’m a little apprehensive. However whatever is said I’ll deal with it, correct it and finish the job.
Each day I write my daily goals usually three, one for the book one for my home and the other for my family. For me it is a necessity, when my nose is in the computer all else stops my house work falls by the wayside and my family ask if they have to have an appointment to talk to me.
Now each evening when it’s time to put my feet up I take a double sided piece of clean A4 paper. At the top there is my main goal followed by my three goals for the day. This if followed by my plan as though the days goals have been completed in the present tense.
Turn the page over, at the top of the page there is written my major problem in the form of a question followed by 20 one line answers. Beneath that is an action point I select one from the 20 one line answers and do it immediately. At the end of the day most have been ticked of as achieved and what ever as not been done are forwarded to the next days list. This way I don’t feel that I have failed. It also keeps me focused.
I hope you will make this journey with me, please leave a comment we may learn a lot from each other. Whilst knowledge is power I believe it is there to be shared. Please feel free to leave a comment and pop by tomorrow to find out what happens next.
